Shawl progress!

Well, it took me long enough to get around to posting about this. . . Blame it on holiday craziness!

I've been knitting away on Kristin's present, which is this shawl I'm making up as I go along. It's using Lion Brand's Moonlight Mohair, in the color "Purple Mountains," size 13 needles. (I'm only using the circular needles because it allows me to see the shape, so I can make sure it's not getting too wonky!)

Here is the shawl so far, and on the right, a close-up which shows the yarn a bit better:



This thing doesn't photograph too well, because I swear it looks so pretty and soft in person! Ah well.

So. . . Think I can finish it today and get it mailed off to Kristin? She probably won't get it in time for Christmas, but very soon after. . . ;P
